BBB Beetleweight AM32 Brushless Drive ESC
£14.50
BBB’s AM32 ESC: A 25A brushless ESC running AM32 firmware pre-programmed for great drive. AM32 is particularly good at motor control at lower speeds helping you get the best performance out of your drive. We’ve made this ESC to bring the great control of AM32 brushless ESCs in a ready to go pre-programmed package at a lower price point. This ESC is perfect for beetle scale brushless drive options such as Repeat Max, Repeat Compact or DIY solutions with the 1806 brushless motor – see this great tutorial. Example Robot: Lob-ster by Joe Brown
Joe (hi that’s me!) built this ‘Mammoth’ inspired beetle Lob-ster, which runs two BBB AM32 ESC’s on drive with Repeat Max motors. I ran it at pub beetles in May 2024 and love the extra control the new ESCs gave me in the arena! Check out my build diary on the forum.

Been Using one of these for a little while in testing to power a high reduction brushless lifter motor (2812 ona 100:1 gearbox) that I’ve been messing around with.
Been faultless and now that its been in the arena powering Luchador’s flipper at champs I figured it time to leave a review as it has just worked for me so far.
Seems to have a little more oomph than an equivalent BLHeli_S escs I tend to run but needed the settings adjusted to match the KV and pole count of the motor to see the benefit. They come standard set up for the usual 1806 style drive motors tho, so not an issue if youre using them with repeat, mars or rotalink brushless drive motors.
