FingerTech Metric Power Switch

These tiny power switches can be turned on and off with a twist of a M2.5 hex key and are legal for UK beetle events. They’re a great option for powering your robot on and will stay on through intense vibration and high G-force impacts! They need only be finger tight to make a good connection and will not back out. Included sticker to label your bot chassis with on/off hole. Operation, mounting & wiring diagram below. CAD: IGS

Operation:
From FingerTech: To connect the two copper terminals, use a 2.5mm hex wrench to tighten the screw (clockwise). It does not take a lot of force to make a good connection – just finger-tight. If you are worried about stripping them out then you are using too much force! One full rotation counterclockwise disconnects power. The nylon is undersized to keep the screw from backing out due to vibrations.
Mounting:
Two mounting holes, spaced 7.62mm (0.3in) apart, can pass-through 2mm screws, or can be tapped for 3mm screw threads. Ensure your switch is securely mounted for battle by either bolting through with M2 nuts or tapping for M3.
Wiring Diagram:
We recommend your battery connector is soldered to the top prong and fuse is soldered before the switch.
